TFSL Cohort 6 Fellows Complete Three-Day TaRL Training

Teach For Sierra Leone (TFSL) Cohort 6 Fellows have successfully completed an intensive three-day training on Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), aimed at strengthening their capacity to deliver targeted, learner-centred instruction in classrooms. The training deepened Fellows’ understanding of the TaRL approach, which focuses on assessing learners based on their actual learning levels rather than age or grade.

During the training, Fellows engaged in practical demonstrations, group work, lesson simulations, and hands-on assessment activities. Key focus areas included learner assessment techniques, grouping strategies, activity-based learning, lesson planning, and effective classroom facilitation using the TaRL methodology. To support implementation, TFSL also provided Fellows with essential teaching and learning materials to enable them to apply the TaRL approach in their classrooms.

By the end of the three days, Cohort 6 Fellows demonstrated increased confidence and readiness to implement TaRL practices in their schools and communities.

TFSL remains committed to improving learning outcomes and welcomes individuals and organisations who align with our vision and mission and are willing to support our work in advancing equitable education across Sierra Leone.
