TFSL Stands in Solidarity During National Remembrance Week
In observance of National Remembrance Week, a cross-section of Teach For Sierra Leone (TFSL) management, staff, and Cohort 6 Fellows took time out of their refresher training to stand in solidarity with the Government and people of Sierra Leone, reflecting on peace, unity, and collective responsibility.
This moment of remembrance aligns with TFSL’s mission of creating a truly liberatory society by expanding educational opportunity and developing values-driven leaders who contribute positively to society.

Through shared prayer and quiet reflection, we honoured the memory of those who endured unimaginable suffering during Sierra Leone’s 11-year civil war, with particular remembrance of the women and girls who were killed, violated, and left with lasting trauma.
This solemn observance reaffirmed TFSL’s commitment to fostering healing, upholding human dignity, and nurturing compassionate, socially responsible leaders who promote peace, inclusion, and respect within classrooms, schools, and communities across the country.
