TFSL Concludes Day Two and Three of Training of Trainers on TaRL Activities at Mount Zion Training Center
Teach For Sierra Leone (TFSL) successfully concluded Days Two and Three of the Training of Trainers on Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) activities at the Mount Zion Training Center, marking the completion of an intensive three-day capacity-building programme for TFSL coaches.
Days Two and Three focused on deepening participants’ practical understanding of the TaRL approach through hands-on demonstrations, lesson simulations, and structured practice sessions. Coaches engaged in learner assessment techniques, group-based instruction, and the use of TaRL teaching and learning materials to support foundational literacy and numeracy development.

Participants also explored strategies for effective classroom implementation, monitoring learner progress, and providing targeted support to Fellows and teachers. Collaborative discussions and peer learning sessions enabled coaches to reflect on challenges, share best practices, and strengthen their facilitation and coaching skills.
The successful conclusion of the training reinforces TFSL’s commitment to improving learning outcomes by equipping educators with proven, evidence-based teaching approaches. With enhanced capacity and renewed commitment, TFSL coaches are now better positioned to support the effective rollout of TaRL activities across partner schools, contributing to improved learning experiences and outcomes for pupils.
